Welcome to the fourth issue of the European Islands Facility NESOI newsletter! Through its financial and technical assistance activities, NESOI supports the EU islands energy transition process, facilitating the decentralization of energy systems and contributing to achieving the EU’s 2030 climate and energy framework goals.

The newsletter includes updates on the most important actions of the project such as the open call processes as well as key news and events Island communities with an interest in energy transition should keep an eye on.

FIRST NESOI OPEN CALL RESULTS: 28 ISLANDS PROJECTS SHORTLISTED TO RECEIVE SUPPORT FOR THEIR ENERGY TRANSITION AMBITIONS
The European Islands Facility NESOI, with the objective of facilitating the energy transition on islands, has completed the evaluation of its first call for applications: at least 28 project proposals out of the eligible 74 will receive funding and technical support to develop their islands energy projects.
