At the French Institute of Greece in Athens on September 27-29, the Hellenic Association for Energy Economics will host the 8th HAEE Energy Transition Symposium. The NESOI European Islands Facility is one of the supporters in this year’s edition.
On May 6, NESOI was invited to the CORDIS booth in Berlaymont as a renewable energy specialist as part of Europe Days 2023. A significant gathering to remember the "Schuman Declaration" signing on May 9, 1950, as well as the future of Europe. This year we celebrate the European Year of Skills.
SINLOC - Sistema Iniziative Locali, project coordinator of NESOI – The European Islands Facility, with our Beneficiaries from Sicily, from the 30th to the 31st of May attended the sixth edition of the Green Salina Energy Days event, presenting the latest updates on our incredible initiatives. The event is taking place on the island of Salina (Aeolian Archipelago - Sicily), one of the islands at the heart of our project.
30 for 30 | 30 renewable islands for 2030
In 2023 we will select 30 islands that want to become fully renewable by 2030. Achieving fully renewable-energy-powered islands is the North Star objective for the third phase of the Clean energy for EU islands secretariat. At the #CE4EUislands forum 2023, we will discuss all the building blocks to be able to achieve that ambition.
The 11th annual edition of Sustainable Places (SP2023) is a hybrid event, from 14th to 16th June 2023, with the in-person sessions hosted in Madrid, Spain.
Driven by the facts and our intention to apply rigorous analysis to the most pertinent topics of energy economics, HAEE is welcoming the 8th HAEE Energy Transition Symposium, entitled "Rethinking Energy: A secure and sustainable future", which will take place on September 27-29, 2023, at the French Institute of Greece, in the light of the new geopolitical landscape and towards a historic turning point into cleaner and more secure energy systems.
This year’s Covenant of Mayors – Europe conference in Brussels will focus on the local response to the energy crisis, discussing how it has shown (once again) that cities are frontrunners of Europe’s energy transition, and how these efforts can become long-term strategies to redefine lifestyles in the face of climate change.
