Good news for organisations and communities preparing their applications to the NESOI Plus First Open Call. To give applicants additional time to finalise high-quality proposals, the submission deadline has been extended to 10 July 2026.
If you are planning to apply, this extension is your opportunity to further strengthen your proposal and complete all the required documentation before submission.
The NESOI Plus First Open Call supports renewable and citizen energy communities in developing bankable, investment-ready projects across the three eligible outermost island regions:
- Canary Islands (Spain)
- Azores (Portugal)
- Martinique (France)

Both existing and new Energy Communities are invited to apply, including Renewable Energy Communities (RECs), Citizen Energy Communities (CECs), municipal-driven initiatives, citizen-led and cooperative projects, as well as rural and vulnerable-citizen initiatives. Selected projects will receive tailored technical assistance to transform their ideas into investment-ready projects through technical guidance, business modelling, financial and economic analysis, and support in connecting with potential investors and funding opportunities.
Applicants are encouraged to consult the Guidelines for Applicants, verify their eligibility, and submit their proposal through the NESOI Plus online application platform before the new deadline.
