<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB">On June 7-8, 2023, <strong>NESOI</strong> will take part in the <a href="https://clean-energy-islands.ec.europa.eu/news/clean-energy-eu-islands-forum-2023-7-8-june-agenda-available">Clean Energy for EU Islands Forum 2023</a>, which will take place in Saaremaa, Estonia. On this occasion, two of our partners, <a href="https://www.sinloc.com/en/">SINLOC</a> and <a href="https://www.r2msolution.com/">R2M</a>, have been invited to share their expertise on the EU islands world, as we share the ambition to support island communities to enhance their well-being and resilience by assisting them in realizing their transition to clean energy resources. </span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB">More specifically, on the first day of the event, our project coordinator, <strong>SINLOC</strong>, will introduce the session <em>“Funding, financing, and capacity building for Renewable Energy Islands: What to Expect?</em>”, as <strong>NESOI</strong> has already supported 54 projects with technical, economic-financial, legal, and procedural advisory services. On the second day, <strong>R2M</strong> will take part in the forum sharing their incredible expertise acquired thanks to the technical assistance directly provided to the islands in the session “<em>Lessons learned from the technical assistance to the islands”.</em></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB">The <a href="https://clean-energy-islands.ec.europa.eu/">Clean Energy for EU Islands Secretariat</a> will choose 30 islands in 2023 that intend to achieve 100% renewable energy by 2030. The third phase of the Secretariat's North Star mission is to achieve entirely renewable energy-powered islands. All the necessary foundation stones will be considered at the <strong>CE4EUislands forum</strong> in order to realize that goal.</span></p>
