NESOI: Meet the beneficiaries

There are more than 2400 inhabited islands in the EU. Despite having access to renewable sources of energy, such as wind and wave energy, many of them depend on expensive fossil fuel imports for their energy supply. NESOI offers concrete support to the energy transition process, both at European level and in the implementation of interventions on small European islands.

We have travelled thousands of kilometres across countries in the first and second calls for proposals to support our beneficiaries. But, who are they?

ARINDEC-GRAN CANARIA (Spain) ; GRENPLIGHTC (France); WIRE-K (Greece); FECOS (Italy); SAVE (Greece); E-LAFITI (Croatia); SCGM NAKOU (Greece); HPS (Italy); DGRES AEGEAN (Greece); JEDI (Greece), TESLA (Greece)... are the acronyms of only a handful of projects that The EU Island Facility NESOI has supported in the last months.

In this section, we will present the complete stories of our beneficiaries: what are their projects about, the main challengues that the initiatives are facing, the impact on the communities, how NESOI has contributed to the development of them, etc. In addition, you will be able to download the dedicated brochures with all the information.
