WHAT IS THE PROJECT ABOUT?
- CHIOS: Installation of a battery energy storage system within the existing thermal power plant; installation of new PV plants; partial replacement of fossil diesel with renewable diesel.
- OINOUSSES: Installation of a battery energy storage system and of new PV plants.
- PSARA: Installation of a battery energy storage system at the site of its abolished thermal power plant; installation of new PV plants.
- Another 28 isolated island electricity systems with similar characteristics exist in Greece, where PPC and DAFNI may replicate the project
