Islands have become the leaders of #energytransition and are catching the World's attention for its varied ways to face that transformation. The article features some of our beneficiaries:

•  Ærø in Denmark, the island now regularly generates more energy with its wind farms than it uses – about 125% to 140% annually
•  El Hierro in Spain, faced a major challenge: 40% of the annual energy demand comes from desalinitation activities. Now, thanks to a wind powered hydroelectric plant, it covers up to 70% of the island's energy needs!
•  The island of Tilos, in Greece, decided to expand its #cleanenergy production and add a conventional and a PV-based electric vehicle (EV) charging station, aiming to achieve carbon neutrality.
