NESOI at EUSEW 2020: Clean energy on Islands – what’s next?

Do not miss the chance to meet and listen to NESOI representatives sharing their outlook and ideas for Energy Transition on Islands at this year's European Sustainable Energy Week. 

On Tuesday 23rd June at 16:00 NESOI project manager Cristina Boaretto will take part in a panel discussion “Clean energy on Islands – what’s next?” at this year’s EUSEW policy sessions. 

The session will also include representatives from the EU Islands Secretariat; Thierry Santa, Chair of OCTA and President of the government of New Caledonia; Robert-Jan Moons, Policy Advisor for Energy for the Government of Aruba; Gianni Chianetta from Greening the Islands,  Eleni Marianou – General Secretary for the Conference for Peripheral and Maritime Regions and Kostas Komninos, Vice President on Smart and Sustainable Islands – FEDARENE and General Director of the DAFNI Network of Sustainable Greek Islands.

The pannelists from various organisations will sharing their experiences on the challenges faced in implementing energy transition on islands and provide insights on the technical support and financial solutions available to ensure the path towards decarbonisation on EU Islands.
