In a collaborative effort to assess progress, strategize for the future, and solidify partnerships, the General Assembly of the NESOI -New Energy Solutions Optimized for Islands project convened in Paris from November 30th to December 01. The meeting brought together all project partners who engaged in a comprehensive discussion covering various aspects of the initiative.

The central focus of the assembly was to review and analyze the accomplishments of the NESOI project thus far. As the NESOI project approaches its conclusion in February 2024, the consortium took the opportunity to discuss the upcoming final event scheduled to take place in Brussels during the same month. Stakeholders and policymakers will attend, fostering a platform for knowledge exchange and potential future collaborations.

Moreover, the assembly engaged in strategic discussions about the post-February 2024 landscape. Partners explored potential solutions to sustain the positive momentum generated by NESOI, considering long-term impacts on energy sustainability in island regions and strategies for continued collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
