Our project, NESOI—New Energy Solutions Optimised for Islands—participated in the third edition of ENLIT Europe, which took place in Paris from November 28th to 30th. It was a great opportunity to showcase its results and the incredible NESOI platform.

ENLIT Europe represents an exceptional chance to delve into the energy transition throughout Europe. Every year, stakeholders and experts from the energy sector convene and discuss every aspect of the energy sector while trying to inspire and foster networking between industries, consultants, grid operators, and system integrators. The main idea behind ENLIT is to try to support and help the different actors within the European Union evolve and move towards a more decarbonised and digitalised energy system to deliver clean and affordable energy for all. 

Among the several interesting sessions organised during the event, our partners from R2M participated in the session titled "Energy Data Spaces: Technologies" on November 29th. This session focuses on recent technologies deployed to achieve best practices in data sharing, developing an efficient and competitive market for digital energy infrastructure and services that are sustainable. Moreover, it gave us the possibility to present the NESOI platform, the most visible and important tool in our facility. In the meantime, our partners from SINLOC, ZABALA, and CERTH were showing a demo of the platform and explaining and introducing the numerous projects on islands supported by NESOI all around Europe. 

The NESOI platform provides access to learning tools and resources, project development, networking with experts and investors, and technical and financial assistance, intending to help island communities make the transition to a low-carbon future.
