WHAT IS THE PROJECT ABOUT?

  • The consortium plans to realise a 1.6 MW tidal power plant at the island of Schouwen-Duiveland in the Flakkeese discharge sluice. Six tidal turbines are to be installed in front of six sluice gates.
  • The project contributes to a 100% sustainable, predictable and affordable energy system and is replicable.

HOW WILL THE EU ISLANDS FACILICY NESOI SUPPORT THE PROJECT?

  • Analysis of existing planning documentation, identification of the project boundaries
  • Identification of the target applicant and support in the definition of cooperation schemes
  • Collection and analysis of technical, procedural financial, parametric data and information needed to configure the application
  • Energy audit and/or assimilable high level technical information required to configure in further detail the application
  • Definition of the technical assistance and expertise needed to realize the intervention
  • Drafting the application, support in the submission
  • Program management and ongoing support in the interaction with the targeted Technical Assistance facility donor
