From June 14th to June 16th, 2023, will take place the 11th annual edition of Sustainable Places (SP2023), with the in-person sessions organised in Madrid, Spain, by our partner R2M Solution and by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, who will also host the conference at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura (ETSAM). The SP2023 will be held in both digital and in-person formats.
Our project NESOI, will be presented during an interactive workshop titled “EU Geographical Islands as Leaders of Green Energy Transition: 5th Edition”, during which it will be shared the direct experiences on island decarbonisation and clean energy transition acquired during the lifespan of our project. Moreover, the workshop aims to reinforce the synergies and networks among the Horizon 2020 sister projects. Pivotal will be the interaction with the audience who will be requested to share their opinions with the intention of examining opportunities, possible challenges, and needs to better support the transition to green energy.
Sustainable Places is considered the best venue for research dissemination, workshops, grouping EU projects, and connecting stakeholders from different sectors. During the conference, there will be different topics dealt with within the context of sustainable building, always trying to align with the priorities present in the Societal Challenges of the European Commission and the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
In addition to a more theoretical aspect, during the event, several seminars and more technical parallel activities will also be organized, enriched by the interventions of exceptional keynote speakers.
