Crete (Greece) ranked N.22, and we are proud to say the the municipality if Malevizi is one of our beneficiaries with the project "RenewME" (Renewable Malevizi Energy Future), which consists on the technical and feasibility studies to facilitate the energy transition in the island. Additionaly, there is a second project in the island, SAVE (Sustainable Actions for Viable Energy) , that will use the electricity generated from the island's wind parks for descentralised storage devices and inject it back during peak demand periods. In addition, two sports facilities will be involved as prosumers in this grid.
In Paros (Greece) ranked N.12, NESOI supports the project "TESLA" (Transport electrification on sea and land in Antiparos) which concerns the propulsion system hybridization of 1 of the 4 ferries operating the Paros-Antiparos ferry connection, as well as EV charging stations installation, partial electrification of Antiparos municipal fleet and installation of PV panels, paving the way towards carbon-neutral mobility both on land and at sea.
The score was based on the opinions of the magazine Travel + Leisure, that aim for a more enriching island experience than just a pure touristic one. Every year, the readers, are asked to evaluate a number of characteristics that range from sights, activities, food and people's friendliness.
