The Institut Menorquí d'Estudis has released a document that contains the proposed guidelines for decarbonising Menorca’s energy system. They were drawn up based on a comprehensive vision of Menorca’s energy sources, infrastructure and usage, with the aim of drastically reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Yesterday the Croatian Presidency informed EU Energy Ministers of the completion of the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding on the Clean Energy for EU Islands initiative. Energy Commissioner Kadri Simson signed for the Commission alongside 14 Member States.

The European Islands Facility NESOI hosted their first capacity building webinar on the 18th of June 2020 to share the knowledge gathered from the survey issued to EU Islands over the past months. The webinar gave insights on the eligibility criteria for the technical assistance that NESOI can offer.
The NESOI - European Islands Facilty, the Clean Energy for EU Islands Secretariat, the Overseas Countries and Territories Association (OCTA), and FEDARENE will co-host an online session within the frame of the European Sustainable Energy Week 2020 on the potential of Islands as champions of green recovery strategy on the 17th of June.
On February 11th and 12th, 2020, BRIDGE General Assembly took place in Brussels, Belgium organised by the European Commission in cooperation with DOWEL Management, Zabala Innovation Consulting and Ricerca Sistema Energetico.
